A “cocktail” is often defined as a mixed drink that includes a base spirit along with other components including mixers, syrups, bitters, and garnishes. 

The creation of the cocktail came at a time when bitters were a common household remedy, and the addition of liqueurs to these medicinal concoctions gave birth to the earliest cocktails.

Cocktail culture has grown in popularity with classic cocktail recipes experiencing a rebirth in popularity in the early to mid-2000s, as bartenders revived them while incorporating their own distinctive twists.

In addition to the contemporary twists of our Lychee Blush Cocktail, the bar menu at ABODE Bistro. Bar features traditional cocktail classics like the Old Fashioned, which was inspired by the modest cocktail beginnings of a common household remedy.
